Now more
than ever, Americans are taking notice of poverty and what it
can do, because most Americans actually know somebody who is
poor. In these highly uncertain and tragic economic times,
poverty is striking relatives, friends, neighbors and former
co-workers.
Many
Americans have no money, no savings, no jobs, no food and no
home. They have lost families, neighbors and friends. They hear
politicians talk about billion-dollar recovery, but they don't
see a penny. The economy doesn't appear to improve and
opportunity disappears from their lives. Many Americans feel
they have no hope. And worst of all, many Americans have lost
their faith in God during these trials.
Poverty happened
to me. If not for the kindness of friends who helped me through
each financial crisis and the love of God who re-shaped me for
the journey, I would have been lost.
Faith
in God sustained me and strengthened me through the valley. And
God created my ministry to help you to know Him so you, too, can
make it. |
